Jamie & Becca : Wedding | Metamora, IN

Becca and Jamie were actually a referral from another photographer and I'm SO happy that they booked their big day with me. From the moment we met over coffee we instantly clicked and I just knew we were going to have an amazing time together.

Becca & Jamie got married in the same church that both her mom and her grandma got married in years ago in their quaint hometown of Metamora, Indiana. Metamora is a treasure to be honest. They have the only working wooden aqueduct in the United States (which is pretty cool), a passenger train that stops right along the creek, and their main town area resembles an old western film set. Not only do you get beautiful country views on your way out there, but there's also an amazing horse ranch right down the road that offers guided horse tours (highly recommend checking them out!).

The day before their wedding there were insane storms and tornado warnings so while I was on my way there bright and early the day of the wedding there was a TON of flooding and the forecast was predicting rain most of the day. We ended up lucking out and the rain cleared up around 10AM and it was a beautiful, hot summer day to commemorate such a special day!

There were so many thoughtful, personal touches to their wedding. Becca found these Edison lights months before and wanted to base their decorations off of those, Jamie got this fun party vest to change into after the ceremony, they bought specific blends of flower petals and herbs for their guests to toss as they came out of the chapel for the best flower exit ever, and Becca even had her dress CUSTOM MADE by an incredible dress designer based out of Indy (wait until you see it oh my GOSH) and had a patch from her grandparents shirt sewn into a heart on the underside of her dress. There's an old tradition in Metamora where on your wedding day the bride and groom head over to the aqueduct and carve their names/initials into the wood, and since it ended up not raining the whole day we had the opportunity to sneak over during the reception and do that real quick.

Everything came together exactly the way it was supposed to for Jamie + Becca's special day and I couldn't be happier for the two of them.

Their personalities mesh together so well and they are honestly the best example of true love. The happiness and love that was radiating from them as well as their friends & family was overwhelmingly heartwarming and I would be lying if I said I didn't cry a little editing their wedding.
